A legit rap song isn’t complete without an elaborate music video — and Steve Aoki & DVBBS did it up big for their trap-EDM-fused track “Without U” featuring 2 Chainz!
The music video, which features the producers and rapper chillin’ in a trippy art gallery as the displays and statues come to life, is part of a video project that will accompany Aoki’s forthcoming album KOLONY.
Aoki explained the bigger picture: “The Without U video is the first look into the Dim Mak manor where you get to see a room in the house curated by 2 Chainz, DVBBS and I. Each room of the manor is designed by a different song from the album all interconnected in this Kolony community.”
Steve Aoki Presents KOLONY, due out July 21 via Dim Mak Records / Ultra Records, marks the innovative DJ / producer’s turn into rap music as he attempts to “bridge the gap” between genres.
Other songs on the album feature rappers Lil Uzi Vert, Lil Yachty, Migos, 2 Chainz, Gucci Mane, ILOVEMAKONNEN, T-Pain, and more… And, as crazy as this music video is, we can’t wait to see what else goes down at the Dim Mak manor!
