I’ve never been one to stay away from sharing all sorts of electronic music on this blog – even if sometimes it feels like it’s more in the indie/electro-pop realm. Today’s premiere is no different with Los Angeles-based indie-electronic singer LeyeT making her Your EDM debut with new single “Call U Out.” Her previous and only other release “Don’t Make Me Cry” was featured on the Spotify Global & US viral charts and I’m expecting similar results for this one!
I was first drawn to the record’s soft guitar opening in the introduction before I was hit with LeyeT’s hauntingly fragile vocals. Following that the track swiftly ramps up with the synths and electronic influences culminating in a polished and delicate drop. LeyeT’s great combination of forward-thinking songwriting and brilliant vocals makes her an emerging name to keep an eye on in the indie / electro-pop space that’s for sure.
