UPDATE | Michigan State Police have confirmed to local news that the “finger” pictured in the image is just a “very real looking fake finger.”
While everyone from Electric Forest is heading home in relatively good spirits, one unlucky festival goer is missing something quite important… a finger.
In a photo posted to the Electric Forest Facebook page today that went semi-viral, there appears to be a human, severed finger that someone found in the grass. A bartender at the festival who is familiar with the individual who found it says that a police investigation is underway; the area was cordoned off and the finger wasn’t tampered with. At this time, no owner (previous or otherwise) has stepped forward to claim the lost digit.
