To say that I was excited when “Deeper Love” finally came out would be a gross understatement. The track had been under development for the better part of two years, and its release, at the time, was a huge moment for DnB and Monstercat.
Now, 18 months later, fellow Monstercat artist Rootkit releases his eclectic remix for the track, blending a variety of electronic styles into a flurry of sound and bass. Rootkit’s roots lie in drum & bass, so to see him so deftly navigate the original and remix his way around it isn’t surprising. But since he’s branched out into house and future bass, his productions have gained a considerable amount of depth.
Rootkit apparently started this remix over a year ago, closer to the release of the original, but found it again recently and gave it a tune up – we think it turned out pretty great. Check it out below.
