Steve Aoki has been changing up his sound, trying his hand at trap beats as of late. First up with his recent 2 Chainz collaboration, “Without U,” and now with “Night Call” featuring a few of the hottest names in hip hop — Lil Yachty & Migos!
This release comes as the producer’s new album Kolony is expected at the end of July, which includes both tracks and plenty more. Aoki promises fans a “special” album with “tons of epic collabs — talent on talent on talent!”

Speaking of talent, Migos clearly has plenty of it as he takes complete control of the “Night Call” track, while Lil Yachty taps into his “signature bubblegum trap” style, dialing it back just a bit to blend in with the vibes of the track.
Quavo, though not even listed as a featured artist, adds in the hook: When the night call, yeah / I’ll call all my soldiers just to come and brawl, yeah (soldiers!) / Brrr, brrr, bow! / When the night call, yeah (night call!) / I’ll call all my soldiers just to come and brawl, yeah (soldiers!)
Kolony features even more rap artists including Gucci Mane, Wale, Ma$e, Lil Uzi Vert, T-Pain, iLoveMakonnen, plus collaborations with DVBBS, Yellow Claw, Bad Royale, Big Gigantic and more!
“When I was in the studio working on this project or a song with someone that made it to the album, they brought their own crew, and I’d turn around and be like, ‘this squad is like a colony,’” explains Aoki of the title. “We’re like a colony, because it just felt like the energy in the room was more vibrant. It was a lot of energy from people flowing from the studio, and I loved that think tank, that group collaboration, and spirit.”
