Deadmau5 may be releasing even more new music soon, under his techno moniker Testpilot!
While Joel Zimmerman mentioned the main focus of that project is to deliver music from other artists in his own way and allow him to play “DJ type gigs,” in the same breath he mentioned his “less mainstreamy shit” has potential to be officially released under the Testpilot alias.
What is important to know about the Testpilot thing, is that it's more about the artists and their music i play. Im just delivering it.

Although rain delays and water damage at Movement Detroit 2017 made his headlining set a little “complicated,” Testpilot did not falter. Overall, it was an amazing display of his keenness to the genre and ability to deliver a raw, pumping set, with little Deadmau5 to be heard.
