Man Arrested At Bonnaroo For Selling Fake Drugs, Claims He Was Doing “God’s Work”

Bonnaroo Music Festival began yesterday in Manchester, TN and already an arrest report has the meme generators churning.

David E. Brady, 45, of Albany, New York, was arrested on Thursday and charged with two counts of counterfeit controlled substances. For clarity, this means that he brought in fake substances that he claimed to be drugs. The report states that Brady had “pills made to look like ecstasy, 22 bags of fake mushrooms, about 1,000 hits of fake acid and counterfeits made to look like cocaine and an incense stick of black tar heroin.”

The arrest warrant also apparently states that Brady told deputies he was “doing God’s work” by selling the fake drugs, though it did not elaborate.

Brady is currently being held in the Coffee County Jail.
