If you ask me “Slide” by Calvin Harris is the top song of 2017 so far and it’s not even close. If you take that question to the Billboard staff they’d probably same the same thing as well. Actually, they would literally say the same thing as they’ve just come up with a list of the Top 50 Songs of 2017 so far and surprise surprise, Calvin Harris is the king.
While Calvin Harris’s slick 80s-inspired production was definitely the star of the show, featured artists Frank Ocean and Migos (well 2 out of 3 at least) certainly hold their own. “Slide” has already achieved Platinum certification rounding the single out as both a critical and commercial success for Calvin Harris.
