Duke Dumont x Gorgon City Drop the Essence of A Feel-Good Summer Track with “Real Life” [LISTEN]

A heatwave of feel good, summer tracks are dropping everyday and the new Duke Dumont x Gorgon City‘s “Real Life” with NAATIONS is certainly one of them!

If you want to love in real life, dance in real life, get down to some house music in real life — this song is especially for you. The track delivers a subtle yet danceable beat, with deep chord progressions, percussive patterns, and new wave disco, mixed in with centerpiece lyrics that would be an absolute shame to not sing along to.

Gorgon City opened up about “Real Life” to Dancing Astronaut:

“When we were making the track, we had summer in the back of our minds the whole time. We really thought the uplifting piano vibes in the song is kinda like a throwback to a ’90s beat revival, and it felt like that sort of track hasn’t been around for awhile.”

We can all relate to the track, as balancing our lives online and in “real life” can be a modern day challenge. Gorgon City told DA, “the lyrics felt very contemporary and poignant to this social media world that we’re living in where we’re figuring out what is real life as well as what is loving someone in real life.”

While “Real Life” is centered around just that, it still somehow sounds like a sweet escape! Listen here!
