Dirty Audio – Alien Cookies [Monstercat]

After four months away from Monstercat, L.A. native Dirty Audio is back once again with a banger apparently fit for consumption from extraterrestrial beings. Packing one huge punch, “Alien Cookies” has arrived, marking Dirty Audio’s third release with the Canadian indie label. Though he set the bar high with two stellar tracks prior, Dirty Audio may have just topped them all.

“Alien Cookies” doesn’t have the gritty bass of “Gorilla Glue” or the stylistic diversity of “Roller Coaster,” but kills it in just about every other department. Epic intro? Check. Rock-influenced chord licks? Check. Absolutely killer buildup and drop? Uh, check and check! “Alien Cookies” is a certified banger, one that will hopefully be seeing some serious festival stage action this summer.

All that aside, “Alien Cookies” seems to be loosely inspired by the production styles of Deorro, who was one of Dirty Audio’s early mentors. Though the track is a solid work of hybrid trap all the way through, “Alien Cookies” has some seriously bouncy undertones, especially during the second drop. Could this song be a tribute to the man who put Dirty Audio in the limelight to begin with? We’ll have to just wait and see!
