Aside from all of the memes that came out of Fyre Festival, the event was nothing short of a disaster. While the social media buzz has died down over the last week or so, Canadian festival WayHome Music & Arts Festival poked fun at Fyre’s predicament with a call for Fyre attendees to ‘find their WayHome.’
The festival is offering everyone who purchased a Fyre Festival ticket a free GA ticket to their own festival.
“To those music fans affected by FYRE Festival, we would like to invite to you to WayHome Music & Arts, at Burl’s Creek Event Grounds in Oro-Medonte. We will honour each ticket bought to the cancelled 2017 FYRE Festival with one free General Admission full-weekend ticket to WayHome 2017.
At WayHome we cannot promise swimming adventures with pigs or fancy yachts, but we can help to fill a void & provide an experience to those who were unable to have the time-of-their-life at FYRE.”
Find out how to redeem your free ticket here.
Taking place at Oro-Medonte, Ontario (about a two and half hour drive from Toronto), WayHome 2017 actually boasts quite the impressive lineup over three days with artists like Frank Ocean, Justice, Flume, Porter Robinson, Marshmello and more billed. Check out the full lineup and if you’re looking to ‘find your WayHome’ grab tickets here too. Note that prices are in CAD and not USD so if you’re looking to take a vacation up north this summer, it would be well worth it to give WayHome a shot.
