Sometimes bad news can result in good things. Ray Volpe’s Buygore debut with “Rescue Me” was inexplicably delayed, so he put out this bootleg of “Soap” by Melanie Martinez and WOW!
“Soap” was reminiscent of a lot of tunes on PC Music, so it’s rational to think that it would be ripe for remixing, and Ray did more than a phenomenal job with it. Not only did he completely capture the vibe of the original, he made it his own with a melodic twist and some incredible production to boot. The suspense leading up to the drop put my hair on end, and the drop more than delivered. Chopping up Martinez’ vocals with a silky effect and dancehall rhythm was inspired, and it just continues to get better from there.
