London native Codeko has just dropped his latest remix; a funk infused summer hit. Building upon the melancholic slow jam that is NoMBE’s “Wait,” Codeko saw an opportunity to make this a feel-good record, and succeeded at doing so.
Starting the track off with a soothing electric piano, the track takes a completely different turn as soon as the kick and bassline come in. The groove provided by the kick and bass becomes accented with a beautiful arp and guitar line, eventually building into the chorus; a flurry of beautiful sonics in the form of a vocal chop, strong chords, and the same bassline from the verse.
