On the complete other side of the spectrum lies JOHN.k with sultry vocal chords and expertly crafted lyrics. Putting the two together makes for a paradoxically stunning collaboration.
“Runnin” is the first single from JOHN.k’s full length LP. Rowland Evans’ remix is the first remix of the single and it does not disappoint. JOHN.k’s verse cuts through the future bass styled, lush chords with grit. We quickly hear the drop’s eminent presence as risers build up in the background. JOHN.k’s voice quickly becomes the quiet before the trap storm. Juxtaposed to JOHN.k’s smooth voice, heavy hitting subs and a bell inspired trap lead break through.
