Without a doubt, 2015 and most of 2016 was characterized by the incredibly widespread presence of DJ Snake and Major Lazer‘s hit single “Lean On,” taken from the latter’s third studio album Peace Is The Mission.
Played across international radio stations, DJ sets at clubs and festivals alike, and remixed to infinity by producers all across the spectrum of genres, the song became an anthem both in and out of the EDM sphere. Now, just over two years after its March 2015 release, the track has surpassed a whopping two billion plays on Youtube.
“Lean On” now joins the ranks of the such tracks as “Gangnam Style,” “Sorry,” “Uptown Funk,” “Shake It Off” and several others that possess more than two billion views.
