Monstercat fans are in for a huge treat today as two of the label’s most beloved producers – 7 Minutes Dead and Stephen Walking – have officially and forevermore united under the name Orbiter. While seeing Mr. Walking back on the label is no huge surprise, 7MD is a totally different story. It has been over two full years since 7 Minutes Dead has released any music at all, let alone music on Monstercat.
“Want You” marks both a beginning and an end for 7 Minutes Dead, who was dealing with unrelenting depression after the release of “The Divide.” Thankfully, 7MD is back and seemingly happier than ever, newly rejuvenated with excitement about this collaborative project. It should be assumed without saying, but both producers have made it clear that Orbiter has much more music coming in the near future.
Mirroring Orbiter’s retro art theme, “Want You” is a jubilant synthwave/indie dance hybrid, and a masterpiece at that. Don’t miss out on this one, “Want You” is the beginning of something monumental. Listen to the track and download below:
