A while back, deadmau5 hosted a competition to remix his big single “Let Go” feat Grabbitz. Countless artists took a stab at it, creating variations on the original in their own styles. One duo recently came out with a remix that really caught my attention. Eagle | Stallian have been in the scene for quite some time, lending them a keen ear on how they could transform the original track.
You’re immediately drawn in with bass drones and hi-hat grooves. A kick breaks through, lending the song a new beat to grab onto. Risers slowly build in the background, the track cuts out, quickly followed up by driving bass and trance inspired top line synths. A bit of nostalgia influences the track with exciting new sounds, weaved with Grabbitz flawless vocals.
