Snapchat has seen its share of the instant video sharing market crumble with Instagram and Facebook constantly on its heels, but that hasn’t stopped the company from continuing to roll out some incredibly interesting new products.
Their latest update, dubbed the ‘World Lenses’ feature, is sure to be a hit amongst users though with the crazy ability to add filters to real world objects – augmented reality if you will. Snapchat has been coy about using that term, as pointed out by Tech Crunch, but that’s essentially what the update offers.
The thirty-second video they shared with the update’s roll out shows how users can tap the screen when using the rear facing camera to find new lenses from which they can “paint the world.”
