On Wednesday morning, following the completion of Coachella‘s Weekend 1, parent company Goldenvoice offered limited ticket sales to local Coachella Valley residents for Weekend 2.
Upon hearing the news, thousands of festival fans travelled to Indian Wells Tennis Gardens to wait in line, where a brief brawl between patrons broke out. A video was captured of the situation, showing crowds of people being crushed and screaming.
“Crowds were larger than expected, and larger than Weekend 1. There were some minor crowd control issues which were handled quickly,” Goldenvoice said in a statement about the incident. “Not everyone was able to get a ticket.”
There were no arrests made.
