As Coachella’s first weekend comes to a close, Marshmello has taken to the Sahara Tent to deliver a powerful set to a packed, helmet-strewn crowd. During the middle of his Sunday evening performance, however, he was briefly joined on stage by a very special guest for an unprecedented drum battle. He’s still playing right now.
Without warning, Marshmello called upon Blink-182’s Travis Barker to take a seat at one of his stage’s all-white drum kits, where the two proceeded to trade licks to see which of them could best the other in a battle of sticks and kicks. As expected, Barker out-drummed Marshmello in spectacular fashion, giving attendees a welcome break from the hammering future bass carnage for moment of percussion-fueled heat.
