Australian duo SLUMBERJACK has just released the latest single off of their upcoming Fracture EP, set to drop in full on Thursday, April 13 via Mad Decent. The release of “Take Me” follows the EP’s debut single, “Afraid, Unafraid,” which dropped earlier this week as a soaring, melodic evolution from the pair’s usual strain of bombastic, high velocity heaters.
“Take Me” begins with twisted vocal chops above a gentle series of natural percussion strikes, before the track climbs upwards towards the build. Soon a driving arrangement of claps and snares leads towards the break, where an explosion of bass wipes and slaps swirl above a rumbling sub and sharp arpeggios. Between the peaks in energy, KLP throws her voice into the stratosphere for an added layer of infectious energy and spectacle.
Listen to the full track below, and keep your eyes peeled for the complete Fracture EP release tomorrow.
