Producer Cofresi has just released his latest remix, this time in the form of a sensual, soaring flip of Mura Masa’s iconic single “Your Bones.” Featuring a healthy collection of refined sound design and an emphasis on transforming the underlying emotional tone of the original, the remix comes as a welcome exploration of the song’s production potential.
It begins with vocals from the original track sliced between ripples of future bass synth and gentle percussion. Soon, a rush of kick drums and white noise brings the listener upwards towards the drop, leaving them off in a spectrum-wide whirlwind of waving synths and sharp percussion strikes. The song suddenly evolves into a bassy, funk-oriented heater before transitioning back into its half-time beginnings.
