DJ and Actor Samuel Roukin to Unveil ‘Voltage’ Pop-Up Clubs Across the Map

Every so often a DJ comes along that has the desire to merge live sets with humanitarian causes.  For actor and DJ Samuel Roukin, EDM is both an expressive tool and a platform to initiate positive social change. As an actor he’s worked on movies like Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1 and you might have seen him starring on AMC’s Turn: Washington’s Spies as Captain John Graves Simcoe.

But in a couple weeks time his first pop-up night club is set to open in Richmond, Virginia where Roukin is currently filming the 4th season of Turn. Called Voltage, the fully immersive experience is a benefit for Diversity Richmond, a local non-profit dedicated to supporting the LGBTQ community. The event will also benefit the Party Liberation Front, a collective of DJs, musicians, sculptors, dancers, fire spinners, and community organizers, as well as Animal, another artist collective that produces dance parties and unique happenings for local charities.

In addition, these pop-up clubs that will be set up all over the USA and beyond, will be an opportunity for emerging electronic music artists to showcase their work and fine-tune their material. The first Voltage is set to happen on April 15th at the Hofheimer Building in Richmond. Check out the Facebook event page for more information and check back to see when Voltage will be on its way to you.
