This week on [Your EDM’s – Week In Music] we were blessed with a ton of new major works.
deadmau5 in conjunction with his imprint label mau5trap unveiled the compilation album We Are Friends, Vol. 6 including tracks by label signees: Matt Lange, Tinlicker, Oliver Winters, No Mana, Neus, Enzo Bennet, BlackGummy and ATTLAS just to name a few.
Chicago-based duo Louis The Child released their debut EP Love Is Alive. The brand new EP consists of 6 tracks, including collaborations with singers and songwriters: Evalyn, Chelsea Cutler, Blaise Railey, Ashe and Elohim. The EP is out now via Ultra Records.
Over the weekend Dutch wunderkind Martin Garrix released the second volume of remixes for his hit single “Scared To Be Lonely” with Dua Lipa. The second addition of remixes include 6 different renditions of “Scared To Be Lonely” by: Gigamesh, Medasin, Loud Luxury, Conro, Loopers and Joe Mason. The remix pack is out now via Martin’s imprint label STMPD RCRDS.
This week we also saw a number of fresh singles from all across the EDM spectrum.
Fresh off the Ultra live stage KSHMR is back with a brand new collaboration “Back To Me” with Crossnaders featuring vocalist Micky Blue out now via Spinnin’ Records.
Chris Lake dropped the minimal techno and G-house influenced tune “I Want You” on Skrillex’s imprint label OWSLA.
After a short social media departure Boombox Cartel are back with “Alamo” featuring Shoffy on the vocals. Staying true to their previous records, “Alamo” maintains all the stylistic hallmarks that people have come to know and love Boombox Cartel for, including an enormously long buildup and heavy trap sounds. The new release can be found on Diplo’s imprint label Mad Decent.
Niko The Kid in collaboration with Bee’s Knees and CADE on vocals deliver “Give It To You” a summery house tune laced with disco vibes perfect for the upcoming warm season. The track is out now on Armin Van Buuren’s sub label Armada Trice.
Dutch producer based in LA, Morten released arguably his heaviest track to date “Hypnotized.”
This week’s remixes don’t fall short of simply phenomenal.
Anonymous 17 year old producer, heroless released his remix of Vanic‘s “Too Soon” out now via Disruptor Records.
Ultra Music Festival Miami closer, DJ Snake enlisted his fellow Pardon My French colleague Malaa to remix Snake’s collaboration with Travis Scott, Migos and G4shi “Oh Me Oh My.” The remix stays true to Malaa’s signature G-house sound.
EDM-legend Tiësto put his big room touch on Matthew Koma‘s “Hard To Love.”
Rain Man among many others including DVBBS, Bad Royale and Attom remixed Steve Aoki and former One Direction member Louis Tomlinson hit collaboration “Just Hold On.”
