As someone who loves music with a darker atmosphere, “Irreplaceable” is a brilliant record brought to us by NiGHTS. The record starts with a very melancholic chord sound, immediately followed with an airy male vocal. As the record goes on, it begins to build by bringing in drums and eventually revealing the chords are simply just a vocoded vocal. Upon the tracks climax, we’re treated to a catchy vocal chop being supported by intriguing drums and harmonics provided through stuttered chords.
The mood portrayed in the writing provides a great melancholic feeling, presenting us with a phenomenal record, and one I will definitely be listening to on repeat for the next few days.
