Axwell Λ Ingrosso, the undeniably incredible Swedish house duo, once part of the legendary Swedish House Mafia, have officially stepped away from house.
Yes, you read that correctly.
They took to Ultra’s main stage last night to debut a single new song in its entirety, one which we’ve already heard the intro and break of for years now. Roughly titled “More Than You Know,” this unreleased original had all the making of a signature AI-styled house anthem, but the full version debuted last night is, as much as it hurts to say, a future bass record. Finding itself somewhere between The Chainsmokers’ & Illenium’s signature styles, it’s pretty clear that this is a band wagon tune which comes a bit too late to capitalize on the recent pop-drop trend.
While it’s certainly not a bad song, it might come as a shock to some fans who have come to depend on the prolific duo of Axwell Λ Ingrosso to keep anthemic progressive house alive and thriving.
