Hotel Fontainebleau, a place many fans and artists call “home” during Miami Music Week, was shut down today while authorities searched for an “armed & dangerous suspect.”
The hotel was placed on lockdown around 1 pm and guests were asked to stay in their rooms, after suspect Jasper Walker fled from a stolen car and was considered as a threat to those inside. At approximately 2:30 pm Miami Beach PD reported the suspect was in custody, and the hotel secured.
It’s absolutely awful to see Miami Music Week making headlines for this reason… Thankfully, everyone is safe now!
UPDATE: WANTED SUBJECT IS NOW IN POLICE CUSTODY. https://t.co/eEgzdY13eG
