I’ve actually wanted to do a premiere for Noya for a long time, and I’m happy to say that day has finally come. After following his music for years, a combination of the right label and the right PR landed his new track, “Just Say Yes,” in my lap and I couldn’t pass up the opportunity.
“Just Say Yes” is pretty similar to my first experience with salvia – listening to this feels like I’m getting stabbed in the face by thousands of tiny forks. Except, instead of it being an unpleasant and random experience (with salvia), I’m headbanging and dancing around in my kitchen.
The simplicity of the track is what gives it a lot of its power, with a relatively straightforward percussion pattern and an complicated synth. The vocal samples give it a little more depth and a slight “story” element, but the whole point of this track is to make you break your neck anyway, so why bother?
