All the Fifth Harmony and Camila Cabello fans are going wild today after a tweet/video yesterday showed that Cabello might have recorded the original demo for “Closer” by The Chainsmokers.
The song, which we all know eventually went to Halsey, was apparently shopped around before it found its final singer. The video below appears to have audio from Cabello, singing the infamous line, “So baby pull me closer…” with some other vocal flourishes.
The voice hasn’t been confirmed to be Cabello’s, but her entire cadre of fans is convinced. And by the sound of the demo, it sounds like The Chainsmokers made the right decision going with Halsey on the final track.
