K?d has made a name for himself as a sort of Porter Robinson-esque producer, using glitchy synths and similar chord progressions in his own music. As he’s becoming a well-established producer in his own right, he’s rightly identified that he needs to develop his own sound. In doing so, he’s begun experimenting with some poppier sounds in his newest track with Phil Good, “Lose Myself.”
Though I say “poppier,” many of the elements are still uniquely k?d. And the vocals from Phil Good work particularly well with the production, something we’re not so much surprised about, as much as singing along with reckless abandon.
