Drake Samples Black Coffee On New Album [LISTEN]

Among the list of guest contributors on Drake‘s newest album More Life, released earlier this week, sits none other than South Africa’s most prolific DJ Black Coffee. Included as a featured guest on the album’s fifth track, “Get It Together,” Black Coffee’s involvement comes mainly from his 2010 hit “Superman,” the leading introduction of which was taken nearly verbatim and pasted onto the front of Drake’s track.

The difference, however, comes from the replacement of original vocalist Bucie with UK singer Jorja Smith. Her airy technique and sultry demeanor lend themselves perfectly to the pumping, soulful rhythm generated from Black Coffee’s production, resulting in a track that remains at once nostalgic and entirely fresh.

Listen to “Get It Together” below, and check beneath for the original track.
