Jauz’s New Song “The Game” Is Easily His Best Release In Months

Jauz Jauz

11 days ago, Jauz announced that he would be releasing an EP, along with the release of the first single from the work, “Claim To Be.” He just dropped the second track from the EP today, entitled “The Game,” and in our humble opinion, it’s the best thing he’s released in months.

Starting off with some Armin van Buuren “Ping Pong”-esque synth work, “The Game” quickly dives into the drop with some choice snare drums and a pounding bassline. The “Ping Pong” synths continue throughout most of the track, which does somewhat distract from the originality of Jauz’s track, but the sound design and arrangement are definitely completely unique.

The novelty of the track becomes more apparent at the second drop, which delivers an interested blend of deep house, bass house, and dubstep all at once. (Yeah, we didn’t really think that was a thing, either.) The inclusion of video game fx at the tail end of that drop further gives credence to the track title, and the final 30 seconds a reminiscent of some 2012-era Porter Robinson – which we love to death.

Check out “The Game” below and prepare for the release of the full EP coming soon!
