The Chainsmokers Claim They Aren’t Assholes In New Interview

The Chainsmokers are notorious for many things like posting their genital sizes, making EDM-pop hits, and being all around bros. In a new NME feature, the duo seek to lay those claims to rest, proclaiming that they are indeed not assholes.

Over the last twelve months, we have seen The Chainsmokers grow from that duo that was know as the guys who made “#Selfie,” to the duo that took the pop world by storm. When asked about their success, Alex Pall says, “We won a Grammy. Our lyric video for ‘Something Just Like This’ just broke the YouTube record for most views in a day. We don’t get time to absorb these things anymore.”

With that kind of attention comes great responsibility and pressure. In the feature, they tell us that they didn’t know how to filter their sarcasm or wit effectively. This lead them to be perceived as the braggadocios frat-bro duo of the pop world.

They now want to clear the air, stating that, “We’re in this grey area where people are like, ‘I don’t get it, are these guys a**holes or not?’ I promise you, we’re not a**holes.” This NME feature definitely gives us a refreshing, human look at the duo.
