Swedish House Mafia’s ‘Greyhound’ Sounds Just as Amazing 5 Years Later

Swedish House Mafia - Rukes Swedish House Mafia - Rukes

Swedish House Mafia‘s “Greyhound” turned 5 this week, and although so much has changed since then, the track is proving to be timeless.

Listening to it now, the futuristic vibes, melodic textures, robotic blips, and pulsing rhythm make it every bit as danceable and relevant today as it was in 2012… Maybe Swedish House Mafia was just ahead of their time.

“Greyhound” was one of the last singles put out by the electronic dance trio before they split — Steve Angello went solo, while Axwell and Sebastian Ingrosso teamed up as Axwell ^ Ingrosso. Swedish House Mafia’s final album, Until Now, also produced “Save the World,” “Antidote (vs. Knife Party)” and “Don’t You Worry Child.” The album served as the soundtrack to One Last Tour, which they embarked on in 2013.

Time flies when you’re listening to good music!
