Josie from Candyland has been hard at work over the last year to revive the project following the departure of long-time member Ethan Davis. A big part of this revival had Josie stepping away from the project’s foundational sound and experimenting with a number of new styles for Candyland, including bass house, hybrid trap and future bass.
Recently, Candyland was given the opportunity to remix Dillon Francis‘ quirky collaboration with GTA & Snappy Jit, fittingly titled “Candy.” In this flip, Josie recalls the sound of much of Candyland’s early “OG” style remixes, with its very hip-hop influenced electronic trap sound.
