Ivan Dorn is a singer, DJ and producer with an overabundance of quirky uniqueness. His boundary pushing fashion style, fancy footwork and outgoing contagious personality has lit the European music industry like a wildfire. He went from a young popstar to one of the most daring innovators in the Ukrainian-Russian music scene, putting a breath of fresh air into the suffocated post-soviet underground pop scene. All of this helped land Ivan as a judge on the fifth season of X Factor Ukraine. In 2014, just when it seemed like Ivan would follow the footsteps of most modern pop stars with radio-friendly hits and overproduced music videos, he dropped Randorn, an album that bridged the underground and the mainstream. The album was initially met with mixed feeling but quickly had audiences from the VIP areas to the basements and warehouses all across Europe dancing all night long. At the moment, Ivan is working on his first English-language album in Los Angeles.
After conquering the Eastern European market, Ivan Dorn’s international debut starts with “Collaba”, a provocative Lo-fi hip-hop single infused with elements of jazz, pop and funk sprinkled with a touch of IDM. The highly explosive and danceable track perfectly emphasizes how Ivan continues to defy the boundaries of the musical landscape while bridging the gap between underground and mainstream scenes. Along with this release of “Collaba,” starts a new chapter in Ivan Dorn’s career. The track is Ivan’s most daring and sophisticated track from his forthcoming English-language album entitled, Open the Dorn, a gateway into the global music scene.
