As far as trap duos go, Flosstradamus may be the stepping stone of the genre with their “Original Don” remix, but TNGHT are the ones who really pushed the envelope with sound design in the genre. Coming as a combination of talents from Hudson Mohawke and Lunice, you’ve probably heard all of TNGHT’s tunes without realizing it – “Higher Ground” remains a staple trap tune in many sets.
Unfortunately, we’ve heard nothing from the duo since 2013, though that may be about to change. A sly tweet from HudMo flew under the radar until today, captioned “TNGHT in studio.” Whether this is a satirical jab at the appearances of HudMo and Lunice or a legitimate announcement is up for debate; after all, Hudson has been known to have troll-like tendencies. But then, why tweet it at all…? 
We’ll have to wait and see.
