I often speak about songs that make me stop in my tracks and go, “What was that…?”
After listening to “Don’t Let Me Go” from Amidy for the first time, that was pretty much exactly my reaction. With a vocal style similar to featured vocalists on Seven Lions tracks, and production emphasizing huge, bombastic chords and melodies, each kick is like a punch in the gut.
After it’s over, I’m left with a void. And so I listen to it again, and again… until that craving is satisfied. “Don’t Let Me Go” came out on Friday and I haven’t been satisfied yet.
