With “Paris” and “Something Just Like This” out now, and their debut album on the way, fans might be under the impression that the hype over “Closer” is over. Those fans would be very wrong.
This weekend, Wiz Khalifa took to the stage at Okeechobee Music & Arts Festival to debut a new remix to 2016’s biggest hit, and the newly crowned biggest hit in all of electronic/dance. While the original production remains intact, Wiz Khalifa’s new bars on “Closer” serve to ramp up the energy in the stead of the admittedly cheesy pop lyrics from Halsey Drew of The Chainsmokers.
It’s one you have to see (and hear) to believe, because it really does work way better than one might think. Check it out below.
