At some point, the Chainsmokers haters need to just admit that they’re pretty much the biggest thing right now. After breaking record after record, they really can’t seem to stop – they’ve just broken the record for most YouTube plays in 24 hours, previously held by Justin Bieber.
“What Do You Mean?” by Justin Bieber racked up 8.2 million views in August 2015, which at that time was the record. When “Something Just Like This” with Coldplay dropped, it hit 9 million views in one day.
“Something Just Like This” is the second single off their forthcoming album Memories… Do Not Open, due out April 7.
