Soundcloud officially launched their paid subscription service, Soundcloud Go, last March. Though the service likely brought in some much needed additional revenue for the platform, many users have still remained at the free tier for lack of foreseeable benefits from paying $10 per month. Apparently, Soundcloud has taken notice of this as they’ve just announced a new, cheaper subscription tier for users at just $5.99 per month.
This tier will give them access to over 120 million tracks, no advertisements, and offline listening. The $9.99 tier will still be available and will offer an additional 30 million tracks, no previews, and unlock separate tracks which are available exclusively to the “plus” echelon.
If you want to give this new feature a go, both options are available with a 30-day free trial.
This comes among other changes recently made to the platform, including a drastically revamped repost system.
