Bridging the gap between electronic and future trap/bass sounds this week is Trinix, the French two-piece who are beginning to build a real name for themselves. With Ultra putting out their ‘Raining Day’ single not long ago, they have now released the ‘Hide’ EP from Trinix, which totals six tracks including the aforementioned tune.
‘Never Enough’ is a breezy, chill/trap hybrid that sets the tone nicely here, before the infectious strains of ‘Ocean Hill’ land – a melodic track that features the lovely Hannah Young on vocals. ‘Pura’ injects an element of hypnotic energy, before the well received ‘Raining Day’ drops. ‘Dunes’ is quietly sophisticated, and ‘Hide’ is finished with the slightly poignant ‘Last Ship.’
