React Presents Takes a Plunge; Support Their Efforts Against Violence for Bright Star Community Outreach, INC

The music community is coming together once again and this time it is happening in my home city of Chicago. Local promotion company React Presents — the ones in charge of events such as Spring Awakening Music Festival, Mamby on the Beach and more — have partnered with Bright Star Community Outreach, INC to help bring awareness and raise money against the violence that we face within Chicago and the Bronzeville neighborhood.

Officially labeled as the Mamby Beach Plunge, the React team will be entering the frigid waters of Lake Michigan on the shores of the historic Bronzeville neighborhood; the same shores that Mamby on the Beach is held. But you’ll only get to see the team enter the waters if they reach, or get close, to their fundraising goal of $10,000! Their plunge will be broadcasted on Facebook Live for everyone to be able to see.

Whether you have a spare $5 or $50, it doesn’t matter, any little bit will make a difference. And any bit you donate will enter you into a contest to win a four (4) pack of tickets to Mamby on the Beach!

You can read the full details about the Mamby Beach Plunge here and donate to their Go Fund Me page.
