Jonathan Corbett is no stranger to speaking out against injustice. He’s the man behind the class action lawsuit against Insomniac for its prescription drug policy, and he was one of the first to speak out against full body scanners in airports.
Now, Corbett and Elise Domyan have filed a civil suit against New York’s Flash Factory nightclub for sexual assault. The suit claims that during a search, security “grabbed Corbett’s genitals and lifted Domyan’s bra off of her chest to feel her breasts beneath.” The two attempted to contact the nightclub multiple times before filing the suit, but were entirely ignored. Corbett says this of the incident:
“Although by far the most invasive I’ve seen as a regular attendee of music events, Flash Factory’s security is endemic of venues who use their responsibility to keep drugs from their dance floor as an excuse to conduct overly invasive searches.”
