Our favorite MIDI fighter persona, Shawn Wasabi, is back with another video just in time for Valentine’s Day. Playing out his song “Spicy Boyfriend,” the MIDI fighter is perfectly equipped for the staccato sound elements – drums, whistles, synths and all.
As Shawn sits in a lush hotel bed, wearing a pink, fluffy cardigan-esque thing, he plays delightfully on his colorful MIDI fighter and we remember why we love him so much. Check it out below:
This is only the latest in a series of videos like this in which Shawn implements his skills on a MIDI fighter with a new song. The trend popularized by performers like Nev and Madeon has somewhat fallen off, but we’re really happy that Shawn Wasabi and a few select others are keeping it alive.
