Drum n’ bass icons, Dirtyphonics, just dropped their brand new EP on Borgore’s imprint, Buygore, and it is simply fire! Overtime, their sound has evolved over the years, culminating with an unparalleled flavor of breakbeat and bass music.
Opening with “Night Ride”, the EP begins with a massive orchestral intro before dropping into a heavy drumstep banger. Venturing into the future bass and trap sounds moreso than we’ve seen before via a Virtual Riot collab, “Beat Dem Up”, delivers on an epic scale with amazing sound design and melodic content. The final track on the EP features vocalist, Example, who has been heard on productions prominently throughout the past decade. “Lost In Your Love” definitely sees the Dirtyphonics’ sound go in a more pop oriented direction.
Overall, this EP showcases the diversity of styles that this act can handle without fail. Another slamming piece of work from the French group!
