According to reports, Apple will be dropping its iPhone 8 simultaneously with the iPhone 7S in September, wildly deviating from their usual modus operandi.
The new phone will also double down on creative new design schemes, featuring a bezel-less screen, OLED display and allegedly doing away with the home button entirely. Such a design will no doubt cost money in R&D, putting the expected price range for the entry model at a hefty $1,000.
Of course, these are all rumors, and the iPhone 8 could still be quite a ways off, but with the plethora of negative reactions to the headphone jack removal and lack of significant updates on the iPhone 7, it’s something that could certainly reinvigorate Apple fans.
