‘Paris’ Drops Out of Hot 100 Top 10, ‘Closer’ Surges Back Into Top 3

The Billboard Hot 100 just updated and here’s how all of your favorite EDM acts are performing on music’s most prestigious chart!

Firstly, The Chainsmokers. “Paris” dropped out of the Top 10 from debuting at #7 last week to #13 this week due to a slowdown in digital sales and streaming, but with a huge jump in the Radio Play chart, perhaps it could bounce back the following week. That being said, “Closer” returned to the Top 3, snagging the spot back from “Black Beatles” and continues to make pop radio history. Since its debut in the Top 10 of the Hot 100 back in August at #9, “Closer” has remained on the Top 10 for 26 consecutive weeks – let’s see how long they can keep this up.

“Starboy” by The Weeknd and Daft Punk drops from #5 to #8 which rounds out dance music’s representation in the Top 10. If you look further down though you’ll see that there are still representatives from the dance music world hanging around. “Let Me Love You” is holding steady at #16 for the second straight week while “Starving” climbs back in the Top 20 on the backs of a successful week for Grey, Hailee Steinfeld, and Zedd both going platinum and breaking new ground on the Mediabase adult contemporary charts.
