In 2015, he was named as the winner of the Datsik – Katana remix competition hosted by Firepower Records, and now he’s releasing his second EP on the label on February 3, Bloodbath. His last EP on the label was only released last October, so you can already realize the intense rate of production this young producer is able to achieve.
One of the tracks on the EP is “The Creature,” which we’re fortunate enough to premiere this morning. Beginning with classic horror samples and descending straight into a melody right out of a Wes Craven film, it quickly drops right into the main bassline, a flurry of discordant synths and percussion. While the first half shows impeccable sound design, the overall vision is a left a little to be desired. Fortunately, the first half is merely an introduction to the carnage that lies ahead… we won’t spoil it for you.
