Nick Chiari is one talented dude, though you’ll recognize him better from his electronic alias Grabbitz and his work with deadmau5 on the chilling collaboration “Let Go”.
Through a mutual friend, Chiari discovered an autistic musician that, despite his disability, has harbored an incredible love for music that’s beyond description. Mitchell is a 15-year middle school student, and though his hearing and vision is impaired, he’s a first chair bassist in his county’s orchestra. Because of the instrument’s low register and vibrations, Mitchell has become enamored with music, playing around five hours a day.
Grabbitz felt compelled to have Mitchell visit his studio and work on some tunes together. The resulting video is heartwarming, to say the least. Have a look below thanks to CBS’ Hidden Heroes.
